Video converter for iPhone

Can any people please inform me in the direction of a powerful video converting software so that I can view my deeply loved films on my iPod Touch. 
I've downloaded also made use of a few that I got from Google, like iphone video converter, however vast majority of them offer the features I do not demand; or at the end of transfering my film, they'd appear with an information telling it failed, or it did convert, but the video didn't work. 
I'm so annoyed of this, and I wonder there must be several people with iPhones here who have converted videos for it.
